We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer for a global automotive company in Södertälje, Stockholm (Hybrid).

Start is in May 2026, 12-month limited contract to begin with, possibility of extension after that.

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join an innovative team working with advanced engineering and concept vehicles. The team operates in early development phases, focusing on future technologies such as electrification, hydrogen, and e-Mining.

The role is set in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, working closely with R&D, Production, and other stakeholders. You will contribute to concept development and ensure feasible, high-quality technical design solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to early-phase concept development and vehicle design

• Create 3D models and concept designs in Catia V5

• Develop technical solutions within areas such as cooling, braking, steering, and battery systems

• Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D and Production teams

• Support vehicle layout and system integration

• Perform or support FEM analysis for concept validation

• Deliver concept-level designs within tight timelines

Must Have Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in mechanical design

• Strong experience in concept development and early-phase engineering

• Proficiency in Catia V5 and PLM systems (e.g., Enovia)

• Experience with BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) solutions

• Knowledge of vehicle integration and layout

• Experience in FEM analysis is highly meritorious

• Ability to work in dynamic and changing environments

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Fluency in English and Swedish is meritorious

This is a full-time consultant position in Södertälje, Stockholm through Incluso. Start is in May 2026, 12-month limited contract to begin with, with possibility of extension after that.
