Are you interested in working with neuroprosthetic research that bridges experimental development and clinical application? This position offers the opportunity to work with neural stimulation and electrophysiological recording in human studies, with the aim of restoring sensory and motor function with a wearable hand exoskeleton.

About us

We are a multidisciplinary neuroengineering group working at the intersection of neuroscience, biomedical engineering, and clinical research. The team includes engineers, neuroscientists, and data scientists collaborating closely to develop next-generation neuroprosthetic systems. Our research focuses on neural stimulation and recording technologies for restoring sensory and motor function in humans. We operate in a highly collaborative environment, with strong links to clinical partners and access to state-of-the-art experimental and translational research facilities.

Job description

You will contribute to the development and validation of neuroprosthetic systems involving neural stimulation and electrophysiological recording in human subjects. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing stimulation protocols, acquiring and analyzing neural data, and integrating hardware and software components for closed-loop systems. The role also involves supporting clinical experiments, ensuring compliance with ethical and regulatory standards, and collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to translate research findings into functional neuroprosthetic applications.

Who we are looking for

To qualify for this position you must have:

• a MsC in biomedical engineering, neuroscience, electrical engineering, or a related field,
• hands-on experience with neural recording and/or stimulation techniques, signal processing, and data analysis (e.g., MATLAB or Python),
• experience working with human subjects in a clinical or translational research setting,
• a solid understanding of electrophysiology,
• strong problem-solving skills and he ability to work independently and in teams,
• strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Contract terms

The position is a temporary full-time employment for a maximum of 360 days.
